It's confirmed that Madi will only crawl to something to pull up on. She wants to skip straight to standing. Anyone coming to visit will be used as a jungle gym. Wherever you are Madi will come find you and use whatever part of your body is closest as support to get on her feet. From there she'll reach out for your hands so you and she can go on a tour of the house. On amazon.com I've seen these support slings for kids learning how to walk. You put the baby in them and there are straps that Mom or Dad can hold onto and walk with the baby, upright, no bending over at the waist to hold their hands. Might have to look closer at those. Madi's max time standing alone is about 3 seconds. She's already bonked her head and landed on her bum enough to know she doesn't really like that feeling, hence the human jungle gym. My tupperware is in a cabinet above the counter so Madi can't play in that but I opened the lower cabinet that has the coffee maker, iced tea maker and what-not in it. What did she do? Madi crawls up to the cabinet, grabs the middle shelf and pulls herself up and into the cabinet. And why did I expect anything different?/!

on the move
This morning Madi and I were playing in the back hallway. I'd move to one end and she'd crawl towards me, then I'd move to the other end and she'd crawl towards me. Doesn't take much to keep us entertained. I grabbed my phone to video because she started saying the same thing repeatedly. All day today we've been trying to figure out if it's an M or an N and whether she realizes what she's saying. Take a look, the word's in the last few seconds.
