slide - Christmas present

We bought Madi a Little Tikes climb and slide for Christmas. She was beginning to climb on everything and figured if we gave her something she was allowed to climb on maybe she'd stay away from coffee tables and foot stools, still working on that part. We put it on the back porch and showed it to her on Christmas Eve morning. It didn't take too long for her jump in and start exploring. The second time she played on the slide she was climbing up the slide after sliding down. Oh yeah, kid isn't afraid of anything. No idea where she gets that sense of adventure...

cruisin' around

I'm amazed at how well Madi walks around. She's careful going up or down stairs and is so much more coordinated than just a month ago. She's everywhere! Last week it was unseasonably warm so after we got home I let her play around outside. She was truckin' all over the front flower bed and porch navigating the ups and downs like a pro. new trick

Not only does Madi climb up her slide backwards but she's figured out how to climb up on the coffee table. Once on the coffee table she has to stand up. Usually there's some music playing so she proceeds to dance. That's right, Madi's a table dancer.   *shakes head*

meeting Santa

Madi's first introduction to Santa went rather well. It could've been a disaster as we arrived just before dinner hoping to snap a few pics and then be on our way to eat. Ha ha! Turns out the schedule times online do not include breaks for Santa to go feed the reindeer. Santa wasn't going to be back for another hour. Do we stay or go? We decided to stick it out. Madi cruised around exploring the Santa Experience setup which included a Lego table. Pretty sure we'll have one of those in the future. It was just the right height for a little girl to explore. When Santa finally came back from the reindeer and it was time to put Madi on his lap she took about 5 seconds to process the big jolly man and then it was smiles and squirming. See for yourself:
